Contacts created before 1 July 2021 don't have to opt in to receive communications; but
Contacts created after 1 July 2021 are required to opt in to receive communications.
1. Send to individual contacts or groups via CRM > Contacts > Manage Contacts OR Manage Groups
- Click on the envelope icon
- Select the appropriate consent form
- Complete the process of sending an email
2. Send to multiple contacts or groups via CRM > Marketing > Create campaign
- Select the appropriate consent form
- Select contacts and/or groups
- Complete the process of sending a campaign
And there you have it – super simple!
How do you know when a consent form has been actioned?
The header of our Manage Contacts page has been updated with POPIA consent form sent, Marketing opt in, and Marketing opt out. These columns will display the date the action was taken by your contact.
If the envelopes are greyed out, it means the contact has opted out or the consent form has been sent to the contact but not yet actioned.
Note: POPIA allows you to send the consent form ONLY ONCE to a contact.
