The hub now features additional Multi-Factor Authentication.
When the service provides backup codes, make sure to save them securely. These codes can be used to access your account in case you lose your Multi-Factor Authentication device.
Setting up the Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is done using a QR code or the unique manual security key. It is a great way to enhance the security of your hub account.
Here's a detailed guide on how to set up MFA using these methods:
Step 1. Choose an Authentication App:
First, you'll need to choose an authentication app to generate one-time codes. Some popular options include Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator. Download and install the app of your choice on your smartphone or tablet.

Please note that the availability of these apps may vary by region, and there may be other authenticator apps available as well. You can search for them in the respective app stores on your iOS or Android device if you prefer alternatives.
Step 2. Login to Your Account:
Log in to the hub using your normal login details and email OTP code authentication.
Step 3. Locate the Multi-Factor Authentication setting:
To change your account’s MFA Setup, click on the profile icon on the top right:
And click on My Profile:
Scroll down to the Multi-Factor Authentication section:
And use the Dropdown menu (MFA Type) to change your Multi-Factor Authentication type:
Email is standard and active on all hub accounts.
Authenticator is available as alternative. For extra security, this is recommended.
Step 4. To change your authentication method:
You can change your Multi-Factor Authentication to the Authenticator by clicking on the option.
When clicked, you will be presented with 2 codes:
- A Manual Key code - please make a copy of this code and keep it safe.
- a QR Code image – You can keep a copy of this image, keep it safe.
To be able to add another device to your account, please make a copy of the Manual code and save the QR code image to your device. Make sure to keep it safe:
Step 5. Scan the QR Code (If Applicable)
Open your authentication app on your mobile device.
Tap the option to add a “new account or scan a QR code”.
Use your device's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the website. Or on the saved QR code.
If it is not possible to Scan the QR code, tap on “Enter code manually” to type in the manual key code displaying in on the hub (Or the saved Manual Key code). Give the Account a name as well to make sure that you can access the account codes quickly.

Step 6. Enter the Authenticator Code
After scanning the QR code or setting up the Manual key, the authentication app will generate a time based one-time verification code. Enter this code in the Authenticator code section. And click on Update.
Step 7. The Multi-Factor Authentication method is now changed.
The next time you are logging into the hub you need to use the Authenticator app to type in the 6-digit One time Pin code to login. Any email based and Authorized OTP User emails will no longer be sent out.
When logging in, you will be presented with the status line like this on the login page:
Additional info
1. To change your Multi-Factor Authentication app.
Navigate to the Hub Profile and to the Multi-Factor Authentication section. Click on Reset device.
This will generate a new QR Code and Manual key code. Follow steps 4, 5 and 6 to save and scan the code:
Take note that when changing, your previous application’s codes will no longer be valid. This includes the other devices added using the saved Manual Key code and QR Code.
2. To change back to Email Multi-Factor Authentication.
Navigate to the Hub Profile and to the Multi-Factor Authentication section and change the drop-down menu to email.
Click on update.
The basic email OTP code will be used, and the authenticator app codes will no longer be valid or working. This includes the Authorized OTP Users’ devices.
Authorized OTP Users:
To be able to add additional users/devices to your account. You need to use the saved QR code or Manual Key code as per Step 4.
Follow Step 5 to add the additional device. It is not needed to enter the one time code again, as the profile is active with the codes.
When the Authenticator option is enabled, the Authorized OTP User option will not work, and the user will not receive the email containing the OTP code.
It will only work when the MFA Type is on email.
