Listing Particulars
- Go to ‘Listings > Add Listing’
Step 1: Deeds Office Information
- Select the Deeds office from the dropdown
Step 2: Listing Information
- Select and add the relevant information. Take note of the following:
- Mandate types: Sole, Open, Joint, Opposition, Dual
- Listing Expiry date will by default be set to 6 months from date listed. The listing will be removed from portals and archived on the date of expiry.
- POA – Price on Application - an amount still needs to be added for Admin purposes. POA is not supported by the Private Property, RE/MAX Collection or RE/MAX Global portals
- Take note if office sharing has been enabled.
Step 3: Property Particulars
- Select and add relevant information. Take note of the following:
- The Featured checkbox will make listings featured on RE/MAX supplied Microsite only
- Property types: House, Apartment/Flat, Townhouse, Vacant Land / Plot, Farm, Commercial Property, Industrial Property
- Descriptive Property Type: Select from the dropdown
- Erf and floor size: select from m2, ham acre
- Re-publish Status update for the relevant ribbon/banner to display on the portal
- Lifestyle features: Select the relevant checkbox
Step 4: Verify address
We integrate with Lightstone properties to assist you in Verifying a property address. This is optional. In a case where Lightstone Properties does not have the Property Address in their database, enter the address and continue capturing your listing.
We implemented duplicate detection to check if listing addresses are unique. This is to prevent listings from being flagged as duplicates based on the address when published to the respective portals. Should listings share the same street address, the system won’t allow you to save and will display an error: Listing with the same address already exists.
When apartments share the same street address the scheme details are considered. The SS unit number needs to be different which makes the listing unique.
- Select and add relevant information. Take note of the following:
- Enter the address of the property
- Suburb: Type the suburb name and wait for the dropdown menu to select the relevant suburb. This field is mandatory
- Once details have been entered click on Verify address.
- Select the Show address on the web if applicable
- In some cases, a list of addresses will display. Select the correct address from the list displayed
- Click Confirm
Step 5: Selling Price, Rates and Levies
- Select and add relevant information. Take note of the following:
- Selling price is mandatory and cannot be less than R10 000.00 - do not use any full stops or commas
- Rates and Levies are optional
- No Transfer Cost Applicable is optional
- Marketing header description has a maximum of 100 characters - appears on remax.co.za, PropData websites and P24
- Brochure Description – a maximum of 250 characters
- Property Description - a minimum of 140 characters and maximum of 4000. No telephone numbers, emails addresses or any URL links permitted as these create feed errors. Copying and pasting from Word into RE/MAX LMS creates glitches when publishing. First copy and paste into Notepad – this will remove illegal characters eliminating feed errors.
Step 6: Sellers / Tenants
Verifying the property address automatically populates the Seller details – when available. Enter the details manually if the information is not available.
- Select and add the relevant information. Take note of the following:
- The Contact Type, Role, First Name and Last Name fields are mandatory. Remember to click the Save button once you have added the relevant information
Step 7: Features
Once a value has been entered into a features field you can add additional information to the feature by clicking on the Set options as shown below:
- Select and add the relevant information. Take note of the following:
- The value added into the feature field will populate automatically when selecting. Set option for example 2 bedrooms will automatically show 2-bedroom options
- Value bedrooms and bathrooms only display on Private Property and Property24
- Set room options only display on Property24
Step 8: General Property Features
Select any secondary features: Land , Area room, Extra, and Special.
- Select and add the relevant information.
Step 9: Custom Features
This is an optional field for Specialized/Custom features to display on P24 only.
- Select and add the relevant information.
Step 10: Enter Commission details (optional)
Enter the commission details for the listing, agent split and if Vat is included or excluded
- Select and add the relevant information.
Step 11: Listing Notes
Click the + sign and select whether you would like to add a Note or a Viewing arrangement
- Select and add the relevant information. Take note of the following:
- Notes cannot be edited – only deleted.
Step 12: Listing agent
Select the Primary and if applicable, the secondary listing agent
- Select and add the relevant information. Take note of the following:
- The Save button will only appear after you have selected the Primary agent. Clicking Save will open the Media tab.
Media
The Media tab is where you will upload all listing photos, floor plan images and video URLs to display on all portals

- Upload your video to your Youtube channel. Create a channel if need be
- Click on the Share button below your video
- From the menu, click on the Embed icon
- Click Copy on the bottom right of the pop-up and paste into the Video Tour Link section on the LMS
P24 YouTube Video ID
- Copy the yellow section of the link and paste into the P24 YouTube Video ID section.

Private Property videos do not feed through to this portal. Email the youtube link to Private Property on support@privatepropety.co.za
Property 24 has certain rules for their portal when feeding YouTube videos which include that they must be hosted on a branded channel. They will now allow videos that are sourced directly from the Private Property YouTube channel.
The Matterport video link must be added to the Virtual Tour section to display on remax.co.za
Listing images
- Minimum of 1 photo, maximum of 40
- Only 25 images can be uploaded simultaneously – you may require two uploads if you have more than 25 photos
- Only JPG, JPEG, or PNG
- Dimensions equal or greater than 1080px 400px (horizontally and vertically)

How to upload images
Step 1: Drag and Drops files or Click to Upload Files. If you click a photo uploader pop up will display
Step 2: Click on Add files. Search for the relevant folder on your computer where photos of Listings are saved. Select your photos - note that multiple photos can be selected by simultaneously pressing the Ctrl key on your keyboard and clicking the desired photos - click Open
Step 3: Once all photos are displaying, you can rotate images by clicking on the icon in the top left corner of the image.
Should you wish to rearrange your images, you simply click on the image and drag it to the desired position.
Photo descriptions on Property24 and remax.co.za
Photo descriptions will now display on www.property24.com and www.remax.co.za
Note: these descriptions will have a character limit of 500 characters per listing.
To add descriptions, navigate to the Media page of your listings and follow these simple steps:
- Click on the pencil (edit icon)
- Type the caption for the image
- Click Save
- Click Next to save the page changes and publish your listing.
Note: Clicking the Next button on the bottom left of the Media page publishes your listings to all portals.
Portals
On the Portals tab you can view all portals that your listing is currently published to and if all criteria was met for the listing to be able to publish to specific portals.
To Publish a listing to a specific portal, click on the Publish button for that portal.
‘Is Published?’ will show you if the listing has been published to all portals or not.
Once Published to all Portals the Portal page will show as the one below and you can view the listing on different portals by clicking the link as shown below for each respective web portal.
The Listing Capture Status - missing or incorrectly captured mandatory information on the Portals page will be marked with a red X.
Imperative for Listings to be Republished AFTER changes are made on the Listing Particulars page. The changes to the Listing will not appear on sites/portals if the Listing is not Republished.
Stats
The Stats tab displays the number of views and leads received for that listing from the respective portals (remax.co.za, Private Property and Property 24).
You can select specific date ranges from the Time Period dropdown.
Scroll down to view the Leads section, which shows you the number of click on your Listing for Emails, Phone number and Requested Details for remax.co.za, Property 24 and Private Property.
You can view stats from the various portals by clicking on the Source dropdown.
You can also download the listing statistics, by clicking onto the Download button in the bottom left of your screen.
This action will open a new window displaying your detailed Marketing Activity Report. Download it as a PDF file so that you may email it to the respective seller or the person that requested for the Listing Statistics.
Property Management
Completing fields on this page is optional. Enter details of the Managing Agent or Building Supervisor if need be.
Show Days
Enter show days details, such as date, start time and end time. This will display a banner on the listing on the portals for the show day.
- Click ‘Add New’
- Select the date on the pop-up calendar – click ok
- Select the start time and end time to from 2PM to 5PM
You can also add multiple show days.
If the show day has been cancelled, click on the bin icon on the respective listing and click on the Next button on the bottom left of the page. This action will publish the change to the portals.
If your show day does not display on the PP website, simply ‘Republish to PP’. Allow 10 minutes for the portal to update.
Notes
You can add Notes relevant to a listing under the notes tab. For example when to send Analytics to seller regarding listing, views and Show day information and viewing arrangements etc.
History
This page displays the name of last person was to make changes to the listing, as well as what changes were made and what time they were republished to the portals.
